Hong Kong Second Day Report

Well, finally back at work in Japan. As promised, here is the brief report on our second day in Hong Kong:

We started our day with a walk through Sino Centre, a place know to local otakus for a very long time. It is also pretty well known overseas as well as many of my friends have advised me to take a look there if I ever travel to Hong Kong.

There was a shop at the top floor which Ms. Kuroda has vesited the previous year. We were pleasantly surprised that the owner, Mrs. Chan still remembers Ms. Kuroda from her last visit.

We then walked a little further and visited a small shop called ACG宅急便. It resembled a rental locker space in Akihabara, and was very well-stocked in terms of single cards.

There was even a screen playing opening and ending sequences from the various WS series!

The next shop belonged to a friend of Mr. Ko's. According to Mr. Ko, they have known each other since elementary school. The shop sells american board games, as well as dart games. Recently, they have started to promote WS in their shop to attract more card players in that area.

After that, we visited an interesting shop featuring cosplaying counter staff. There was also a mural of the Haruhi series on the wall of the shop.

According to the owners, there is also a sister shop in another location. Unfortunately, we had to leave and could not visit the other shop. Maybe next time when we visit Hong Kong, we will be able to do that.

During the trip, we got to talk to some players and heard their feedback about our card games as well. They also kindly showed us their original play styles and creations, such as deck boxes/cases made from our WS booster boxes! It was very ingenious and eco-friendly at the same time.

That's all for Hong Kong at the moment. Next stop: Malaysia! ^_^v

Oh, no. The shops are located all around Hong Kong. Some shops take about half an hour to drive there with no traffic...

( It really is the next best thing
to actually going japan ).

Thanks for the daily updatesv-290.

Hahaha well it's a very practical
decision to go to JB from
singapore, if you're flying in from
japan.

If chance permits, maybe we will
even into one another on your
visit to sg.

Maybe, but please come to JB if you have the time. Some of the players will be making a trip there just to catch up with me. Hopefully, I will have the time to sit in for a few games with the players from both sides. ^_^
